Square Enix has just recently announced that a new piece of downloadable content (DLC) is to be made available for FINAL FANTASY XIII-2. The new DLC, a bow weapon for Serah called “Azrael”, has been created through collaboration between Square Enix and Microsoft, and will be available exclusively on the Xbox 360 Console on 7th February 2012, in Europe and PAL territories.
This weapon is named after an angel who represents spirits and death. It is believed to possess the power to change the owner’s destiny, and your Chain Bonus is upgraded when equipped. Serah alone has the ability to wield this legendary weapon.
The versions for PS3 and Xbox 360 will be available in North America and Asia on January 31st, 2012 and it should be available day one when the game is released in Europe on February 3rd. It will be sold for 80 MS Points.
The PS3 version of FFXIII-2 appeared at the top of last weeks Japanese chart, selling 525,271 copies between last Thursday and Sunday. The first game sold 1,501,964 copies in the same period at its launch. And the Xbox 360 version failed to break into the top 20 meaning it’s sold fewer than 28,406 copies.
