Microsoft today confirmed a new Xbox 360 gamepad with a trick D-pad. The wireless controller has a unique four-point pad that can change depending on preferences; it can work as a fully inset, disc-shaped pad but, with a twist, turns into a cross-shaped pad for those who prefer the more precise action. It also goes to a unique matte silver color with grayscale buttons and concave analog sticks.

Although not confirmed, it’s likely tuned for fighting game players, who may want the choice of feedback on the D-pad to better pull off certain moves.
The new Xbox360 wireless controller will come only as part of a Play & Charge Kit for Xbox360 that includes a lithium-ion battery and a USB charging adapter. Microsoft ships it to stores on November 9 for $65.
